Introducing My Family

My name is Ernest Henderson. I am blessed by my family. I married my life partner, my wife Janey, in 1992. Born to us were two daughters–Selena and Miranda.

Janey enjoys her retirement as well–she served as a nurse for 45 years. She worked in home health, clinics, a Native American school in South Dakota, and as a public school nurse in Texas. Now she is a full time grandmother and part-time wife.

I served as a secondary teacher, elementary school principal, and assistant superintendent for 36 years. After retiring from education, I worked for five years as a field representative for the United States Census Bureau. I will be stepping out of that job at the end of June, 2025.
